Overview:

The requirements for enterprises to create, implement, and enhance Energy Management Systems are outlined in ISO 50001, an international standard. This enables businesses to adhere to a particular framework that aids in their ongoing efforts to improve energy performance, efficiency, usage, and consumption.

This framework outlines the metrics, records, and reports that let businesses track how well their personnel and procedures are performing in terms of energy efficiency. In order to truly strive for ongoing improvements in energy management, ISO 50001 demands businesses to create new policies for energy efficiency, set goals and objectives to reach those policies, and assess the effects of those policies.
